SZIA Vet is a house-call veterinary service in Debrecen. What We Believe
We firmly believe that stress-free care is essential to your pet's health and well-being. A home environment is calmer and safer: many examinations and procedures can be carried out more easily and with far less tension than in an unfamiliar clinic. On top of that, seeing your pet at home helps us understand their natural environment, habits, and daily routine – which is especially valuable for accurately diagnosing more complex cases. Our work rests on three pillars – the same ones that give us our name: Szakértelem (Expertise), Idő (Time), and Alaposság (Thoroughness). Expertise, because we train continuously and provide only evidence-based, high-quality care. Time, because we give every patient as much attention as their condition requires – we never rush. Thoroughness, because details matter: from careful history-taking to precise examination, we see everything through. We also want owners to have all the knowledge and tools they need for their pet's long, happy life, so we stay reachable after the visit too – including via online consultation. While home care is more comfortable and calmer in most cases, there are situations that call for a clinical setting, additional tests, or surgery; when that happens, we always tell you honestly and point you in the right direction. Where Does the Name Come From?
The name is no accident: it holds three promises the service is built on – Szakértelem (Expertise), Idő (Time), and Alaposság (Thoroughness). In Hungarian, the initials of these three words spell out the friendliest of greetings: "Szia" (hello). Behind SZIA Vet stands a dedicated veterinarian who has devoted their career to exactly these three values. Expertise means up-to-date, high-quality veterinary medicine; Time means we work with your pet patiently and with genuine attention; Thoroughness means we leave nothing to chance – from careful history-taking to detailed examination. At the same time, "Szia" signals warmth and trust. We want your vet to be not a distant, intimidating figure, but a familiar face you're glad to welcome into your home in Debrecen – and someone you can turn to with confidence, in person or online.
