SZIA Vet is a house-call veterinary service in Debrecen. Our mission is to give your pet the highest-quality care possible – stress-free, in the comfort of their own home – complemented by online availability and consultation whenever you need it. We believe that happy, healthy animals depend not only on expert treatment, but also on thorough guidance for owners and professional support that is always within reach.
What We Believe
In today's fast-paced world, we know exactly how hard it is to juggle everyday responsibilities. We work as a family ourselves: we have children and animals of our own, so we experience the daily challenges of family logistics first-hand. We know how much stress and planning it takes to get a cat into a carrier, lift a larger dog into the car, crawl through traffic, and then wait in a crowded waiting room. For many owners, this logistical battle is simply not manageable. That is why we created SZIA Vet: a friendly, approachable and easily reachable veterinary presence that takes this burden off the owner's shoulders and provides care in the safety of the patient's own home. SZIA Vet's guiding principle is that treating pets should never be rushed. There is always time to answer the owner's questions and to talk through every detail thoroughly. Home care is an excellent alternative, but responsible veterinary medicine requires knowing exactly where its limits lie. Some more serious procedures and examinations can only be performed safely in a clinical setting. Our years of hospital experience are the guarantee that the safest decision is made in every situation. If the patient's condition calls for it, we refer them to the most suitable facility or specialist, so that neither the owner nor the animal is ever left without care.
Where Does the Name Come From?
The name is no accident: it holds three promises the service is built on – Szakértelem (Expertise), Idő (Time), and Alaposság (Thoroughness). In Hungarian, the initials of these three words spell out the friendliest of greetings: "Szia" (hello). Behind SZIA Vet stand two dedicated veterinarians who have devoted their careers to exactly these three values. Expertise means up-to-date, high-quality veterinary medicine; Time means we work with your pet patiently and with genuine attention; Thoroughness means we leave nothing to chance – from careful history-taking to detailed examination. At the same time, "Szia" signals warmth and trust. We want your vet to be not a distant, intimidating figure, but a familiar face you're glad to welcome into your home in Debrecen – and someone you can turn to with confidence, in person or online.
